Wow, Badgers!! I have just finished reading through all the 100 word challenges that you wrote for your homework last week and I am so incredibly impressed with them all! You have all worked so hard and they were all so unique! Well done!

For your home learning this week, I would like you to come up with a design for our class garden. Each class has been given a raised bed for us to plant whatever we would like to (within reason!). Have a think about what you would like to plant and draw and label it on the piece of paper that you were given (or draw it within an oblong, drawn on a plain piece of your own paper if you have lost it).

As so many of you had such busy Christmases, your home learning for this week is to get at least one of the activities done on the Roman Invasion sheet. If you have lost your sheet, then you can get another copy here and if you have already done one of the tasks, then please choose another one to complete.

Also, here are your spellings for your test on Friday next week. Please remember to do your L.S.C.W.C. practice and to bring these books back in with you.

I just wanted to say thank you all so much for the lovely Christmas presents and cards that you gave to me. Christmas News…

Firstly, I want to say how absolutely fantastic you all were in the Christmas production on Friday. You all sang beautifully and I was really impressed with those of you who had speaking parts.

As next week is the final week before the Christmas holidays, I have not given you any spellings to learn and the only homework that you have is to complete your Christmas hats for the Christmas dinner on Wednesday; I can’t wait to see what you have all created!

On Friday I sent home a letter with information about the Christmas party which will take place on Thursday afternoon. If you have lost this letter, then you can get a copy here. Also, on Friday you are able to bring in games from home to play. I would suggest that you don’t bring in anything that you wouldn’t want to get lost or damaged, just in case. Finally, we will be watching a DVD on Friday afternoon, so please bring in any that you would like us to watch and we will have a vote to choose. The DVDs must be rated Universal and I suggest you name them.

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend and I’ll see you on Monday.

This is your final week to learn your lines and/or song lyrics for our Christmas production. Next week we will be practising without any scripts, so you must know everything off by heart.

The second part of your homework is to design and make a Christmas hat, to wear at the Christmas lunch on Wednesday 14^th December. We will be having a competition with prizes for the best hats, so try to come up with something particularly special and creative! You have a week and a half to do this, so everyone should be able to come up with something.

Your home learning for this week is to learn your lines and/or the song lyrics for our Christmas performance. If you have lost your copy of the song lyrics, then you can get a copy here. If you have lost your script, then please let me know as soon as possible and I will give you another one.

As well as this, I would like you to have a go at some of the time games, especially Bang on Time, on the Woodlands Junior School website http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/maths/measures.htm#Time . Please make a comment on here to let me know how you get on.

Your homework for this week is to learn your words for our assembly next week. Please try to learn your words over the weekend and then bring your script back with you on Monday so that we can practise as a class. If you have lost your script, or left it at school, here it is.

Finally, you are having your individual photos taken on Monday morning, so remember to come to school looking as smart as possible, with full school uniform, brushed hair and no toothpaste smeared all over your clothes and faces!!
