Don’t forget to do your LSCWC (Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check) practice for your spelling test on Tuesday!
Next week we will be doing some work on ‘The Life and Teaching of Jesus’.
Your homework for this week is to think about all you ‘know’ about Jesus’ life and teachings.
You will then need to think about anything that you would like to find out about. Use your homework sheet to write your questions (minimum of three questions).

Your homework for the holiday break is linked to our Black History topic which we will really be sinking our teeth into when we get back!
Your task is to find out information on famous black people, or events that have involved black people in the past. You will need to look at how they have contributed to history. You may wish to look at a particular person of event that interests you.
The Black History month website may be a useful starting point:
http://www.black-history-month.co.uk/
You will need to present the information that you find in an interesting way, for example, in a PowerPoint presentation, a speech, a poster, or any other way that you can think of!
Good luck and enjoy your holiday break!

Your homework for this week is linked to our literacy work on Performance Poetry.
Your task is to find a poem that you like.
You will then need to practice performing it by thinking about:
- How fast or slow you read it.
- Which words you want to say louder or quieter.
- The type of voice you will read it in.
- The facial expressions you will use.
- Your body movements.
If you can, have a look on the following website to see some celebrities performing their favourite poems. They may give you some ideas.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/teachers/offbyheart/
Once you find the website, click on Celebrity Video Recitals in the Links menu on the right-hand side.

We will be performing them next Friday 23rd October, so make sure you are ready!

For your home learning this week you need to practice reading our class prayer for Harvest on Tuesday 13th October.
Dear Lord,
I keep my eyes on you Lord. With you at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Thank you for our families, friends and all the people who help and comfort us and those at Bevern View. Thank you for our health and happiness. Please help us to be grateful for all that we have.
We pray that you can make other people feel as lucky and as comforted as us. We pray for those who live and work at Bevern View, and we especially pray for Henry’s brother Sam. We hope that he can run and be happy in heaven.
Please help us to raise lots of money for Bevern View Trust.
Amen.
Practice reading loudly and clearly and try to speak out to your audience.
If you are also doing a separate of reading, you will need to practice this too.
In addition to that, don’t forget to go on tutpup (http://www.tutpup.com) to practice your times tables. You have been given your class login and password on paper. If you lose this, please let me know and I will give you a new one.
